Dataset: Scientific Committee Determinations


Description

The NSW Scientific Committee is established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 (TSC Act) and is responsible for assessing which species, populations, ecological communities or key threatening processes should be listed in the Schedules of the Act. The TSC Act contains provisions for listing:1) Critically endangered species, endangered species, vulnerable species or species presumed extinct.2) Endangered populations.3) Critically endangered ecological communities, endangered ecological communities and vulnerable ecological communities.4) Key threatening processesThe Final Determinations do not include site specific data. It contains general information on the species, population, ecological community and key threatening process, general information on areas in NSW where it is currently known to occur (at the time the determination was made) and the threats to the species.
